THE MAN GOD SENT TO YOU

JOHN 1:6

Tap to read full chapter

There is a man sent to you—only a few truly know this. Some don't really believe that the man of God sent to them is their key to prosperity. They think that prosperity will come directly from God. But such people will wait for a very long time, because the Word already says, "...Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; BELIEVE HIS PROPHETS, SO SHALL YE PROSPER" (2 Chronicles 20:20).

Don't downplay the role of men in God's plan to change your life. Don't take lightly the man-factor. The Bible tells us, "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John" (John 1:6). Every time God wants to bless His people, He sends a man.

No wonder Satan knows this truth. Satan knows the Word of God better than some do, and that's why he does everything to turn you against your man of God. There's something unique about the man that was sent to you—because not every man of God is sent to everyone. It's very easy to say a man of God is not truly of God when he was not sent to you. Even Jesus, "...came unto his own, and his own received him not" (John 1:11). Don't expect everybody to accept a man of God. But those he was sent to—they will stand by him, because they understand the blessing they are receiving through him.

The greatest tragedy that can happen to anyone is to miss the man God sent to them. If Satan succeeds in making you abandon the man God appointed for your life, you will walk in darkness for a very long time. When Jesus appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus and blinded his eyes, Jesus did not open them Himself. Instead, He directed Paul to a man who would open his eyes (Acts 9:10–18). Does that not speak to you?

When people say, "Know God for yourself, follow God for yourself," those are words from those who have missed the way. You don't follow God directly; you follow a man as he follows God, just as Paul said, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). God blesses you through a man.

All these teachings that make people look down on men of God are of the Devil. Don't underestimate the role of men, especially the man God sent to you. That's why the Bible says, "Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow..." (Hebrews 13:7).

Every divine relationship carries grace. The man God sent to you carries your word, your direction, and your lifting. Stay connected, honour him, and let the grace of God keep flowing in your life. Don't let pride, offence, or familiarity break your connection. Follow with humility and faith, and you will see God's hand at work in every area of your life.

Confession & Prayer

"Father, thank You for the man You have sent into my life. I refuse to walk in darkness. I choose to believe, honour, and follow the one You've appointed for my prosperity and spiritual progress. Through faith in, and support to him, I walk in light and victory, in Jesus' name. Amen."
