SUCCESS FOR THE CHRISTIAN

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success - JOSHUA 1:8

You cannot be successful as a Christian without the Word of God in your spirit. Only an unwise Christian—or somebody who is not a Christian at all—will argue this. Whenever I tell God's people that they cannot achieve success in life without the Word of God in their spirit, some respond: "But I know people who don't go to church who are prospering".

Did you see that statement? They don't realize the truth in their own words. Those who prosper outside of God's ways are not God's children. The Bible confirms that "...the whole world lieth in wickedness" (1 John 5:19), and that Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). He can give his children anything. You don't need to be wise to be a billionaire in the hands of the Devil.

However, God's children must understand that they cannot live like sinners and expect to succeed like sinners. Satan is your enemy. You cannot succeed in this life as a Christian if God's Word is not in your spirit. The Bible reminds us, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8). In other words, Christians succeed by the Word of God. You can be a success!

No matter how intelligent you are as a Christian, no matter how smart you are, or how hard you work, those things alone cannot elevate you as a Christian. Hard work is good—you need it—but for a Christian, hard work without God's Word is not enough. The Bible says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, And thy thoughts shall be established" (Proverbs 16:3).

Your success must be rooted in the Word of God. When you read it, meditate on it, and apply it, the Word transforms your spirit and positions you for God's guidance, blessing, and protection. Do not rely solely on your intelligence, hard work, or the systems of this world. Let the Word of God direct every step, every decision, and every effort in your life.

Take action today: make the Word of God a living part of your spirit. Meditate on it, speak it, and let it guide your life. Only then will your success be lasting, honourable, and truly blessed by God.

Confession & Prayer

"Dear Father, thank You for Your Word that brings true success to Your children. Help me to cultivate Your Word in my spirit every day. Teach me to depend on Your Word for guidance, strength, and prosperity, and not just on my intelligence or hard work. Let Your Word be the foundation of every success in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen."
