RISE TO GREATER HEIGHTS

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint - ISAIAH 40:31

When an animal tries to attack the eagle, the eagle doesn't struggle or try to fight back. Instead, it simply flies to a certain altitude, a height where other animals cannot survive. Animals like the hawk that might perch on the eagle naturally fall off as they reach that great height. The eagle understands that it doesn't need to struggle; it just sets its wings and soars higher. Up there, the oxygen level drops, and other animals cannot survive. The Bible says, "...they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES..."(Isaiah 40:31)

What does this mean to us? As believers, we are called to live in a higher realm, a place where the cares and distractions of life cannot reach. To do this, you must change your energy level. When you shift to a higher spiritual level, anything that is not of God in your life cannot survive there. There are certain things that cannot thrive at such a high altitude in God. To reach this place in God, a consistent prayer life, study of God's Word and disciplined spiritual routine must be established. You can't be living without structure—sleeping at any time, waking without a set purpose—and attain such heights with God. Without a structured prayer life, everything else is meaningless.

Prayer and study go hand in hand. Ask yourself daily, "How many chapters of the Bible do I read?" After praying, open your Bible. Without consistent reading and meditation on God's Word, your spiritual journey will lack stability. Prayer strengthens, but it is the Word of God that builds and shapes your character. The anointing stirred in prayer won't save you from temptation; only God's Word can purify and cleanse your mind, for "...ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you"(John 15:3).

Discipline yourself to reach your goals. Self- control and discipline are greater than any external achievements. The Bible says that "...he that ruleth his spirit (is better) than he that taketh a city"(Proverbs 16:32). Fight yourself, discipline yourself, and put yourself under your own rulership. Make prayer and study of the Word your priority because as you do, you are rising to a greater level in life. Glory to God!

Confession & Prayer

"Thank you, Lord, for calling me to soar to new heights in you. Help me build spiritual discipline, self- control, and the structure I need to thrive. May your Word purify and strengthen me each day as I grow in your grace, in Jesus' name. Amen."
