Be conscious of who you are as a child of God; there's a mindset we ought to have as God's children. The Bible says, "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, BUT NOT DESTROYED;" (2 Corinthians 4:8- 9). These attitudes are not seen in the people of the world; we are different. There is absolutely nothing in this world that can come against you successfully. The Bible says, "The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways" (Deuteronomy 28:7).
Never be moved or afraid when you hear that so-and- so or a group of persons are planning evil against you, because the Bible never said you would stop them from gathering against you, but that all their efforts would be futile: "Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: WHOSOEVER shall gather together AGAINST THEE SHALL FALL FOR THY SAKE" (Isaiah 54:15). It may be in your neighbourhood, school or place of work, but the moment they set themselves against you, as a child of God, you ought to know the outcome. Learn to make this your confession: "No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper, be they by men or spirit, in the name of Jesus" (Isaiah 54:17) When you talk like this, you raise a standard against the enemy, repel evil forces of darkness and frustrate their efforts.
Refuse to fear! Your victory and protection are in your mouth. David knew something about speaking faith- filled words. Remember, this guy at the age of seventeen killed Goliath. Everything he told Goliath came to pass. He said he would cut off his head and give his body to the birds of the air to feed on, even though the Bible said specifically that there was no sword in David's hands. But he said it, and he did it.
Let's see one of David's confessions in Psalm 27. He said, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, They stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident" (Psalms 27:1- 3). How can you talk like this every day and live in sickness or be broke? It's not possible! How can you talk like this and be involved in a car accident? Never! Your safety is in your mouth, so use your tongue today.
