Soul winning is actually a by-product of the true Christian living. It's important we understand what Christianity is really all about. Once you lack understanding of what Christianity truly means, you will have problems with every other aspect of life. You will question everything else.

Christianity is more than attending church. It's more than being born again in the ordinary sense of the term. To be a Christian means you have died to self. The Bible says, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3). This is not just an ordinary message; I am trying to communicate the correct spirit and understanding of the life we've received in Christ.

Jude tells us that most of us are not living the real Christian life. For some people, it's not their fault, they've probably never heard about true Christianity. But God's Word has come to help you. The Bible says, “…It was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints”. The Christianity we see in the world today is often diluted. It is not the original Christianity Paul, Peter, and Jesus lived and taught.

What was that original Christianity like? It was the kind that shook nations! The Bible says about the early apostles: “These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;” (Acts 17:6). When a Christian entered a community, everyone knew. One committed believer could make lasting impact in a school, city, or town.

Think of Paul, Peter, Philip, Stephen, or great men like Charles Finney, Jonathan Edwards, and A.A. Allen. When Charles Finney preached in a city, over 80% of the population would be converted. After his crusades, bars and beer parlours closed because people stopped going there.

What made their Christianity so powerful? They carried the presence of God everywhere they went. That is the Christianity Jude spoke about—the faith once delivered to the saints. The Bible says, “Meanwhile, live in such a way that you are a credit to the Message of Christ…” (Philippians 1:27 MSG).

Now is the time to rise and live the true Christian life—a life that reveals Jesus wherever you go. Refuse to settle for weak and compromised Christianity. Be the believer whose presence carries Christ's influence into your world. Contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints and live boldly for Jesus in this generation.
