The Bible in our opening scripture says, “Let all things be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40). There is a due order in everything God does. Sometimes people say, “We wanted to do what we thought was nice,” or “We had good intentions”. But good intentions are not enough—there is a prescribed order for doing certain things.
The Bible shows us that even David learned this the hard way when he tried to bring the ark back to Jerusalem in his own way, and it ended in disaster. The scripture records, “For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the DUE ORDER” (1 Chronicles 15:13).
This is a very powerful example of divine order. Some people have suffered, not because they said or did the wrong thing, but because they acted without the right authority—even when their intentions were right.
You can have good intentions and still face consequences. Imagine a high-tension naked wire that snaps and is about to fall on a car. Out of good intentions, you try to grab it to stop it from touching the car. What happens to you? Will the current consider your intentions? Of course not. The current won't check whether or not you meant well—it will still electrocute you. Many ‘good’ and ‘innocent’ people have gotten hurt that way.
There is a prescribed order. The Bible warns us clearly about stepping out of rank, saying, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For... the powers that be are ordained of God” (Romans 13:1). You might see someone doing wrong and even know what's right, but that doesn't always give you the authority to correct them. Sometimes, correction given outside divine order brings harm to the one giving it.
Note everybody has the right to correct everybody. It's too high a place to step into without grace. Just like in the body of Christ today—there are so many “correcting ministries”. People talk carelessly about men of God, questioning what they say or do. But the scripture warns, “Against an elder receive not an accusation…” (1 Timothy 5:19).
So, if you find yourself among those who talk anyhow—whether you made the post or just commented—be careful. Remove your hand from such things. Don't get yourself involved in dishonour or rebellion. Follow the prescribed order and stay in alignment with God's authority.
When you follow God's order, your life will reflect His peace, power, and protection. Refuse to speak or act outside divine authority; stay under grace and operate by the Spirit.
