I have some beautiful thoughts to share with you today that will be a great blessing to you. There's a reason we share and learn the Word of God—it's not just a religious act. If you don't know what the Word of God is, what it does for you, and what it's capable of producing in your life, you won't give attention to it.

You would not even see a need for the Word of God. You would never find yourself longing for the Word. Instead, you would see yourself pursuing money, chasing after friends, relationships, and business opportunities. You would be running after everything else except the only thing that can give you what you are pursuing. Jesus said, "...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). The Word of God is the only thing that carries true life. Everything you are looking for outside the Word begins and ends in the Word.

God, who created you, knows better than anyone what you need to live effectively. That's why the Bible says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16). The Word of God was given to teach you how to live, to shape your thoughts, and to guide your path in righteousness.

You need the Word of God because you are a spirit being. Jesus said, “...Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Just as your body needs food to stay alive, your spirit needs the Word to thrive. Without the Word, your spirit becomes weak, confused, and lost in the affairs of the world.
