DON'T MISS CHURCH MEETINGS

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching - HEBREWS 10:25

The Bible in our opening scripture says, “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;” (Hebrews 10:25). Missing church is bad manners. Nobody misses church because of busyness; God says it's about manners. We are living in dangerous times. The Bible says, “This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing…”, (Hebrews 10:25 TPT).

Missing meetings has become a habit for some. What is a habit? Habits are formed through repetition. People miss meetings repeatedly until skipping church feels normal. Satan does not even need to tempt them anymore. When the weather is dark on a Sunday morning, some will say, “Ah, this is not church weather”, but if an interview were scheduled for the same time, even in heavy rain, they would go. It’s all about what you value. Jesus said, “…where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”, (Matthew 6:21).

Attach value to church meetings. Don't take lightly what God takes seriously—it is dangerous. Many prioritize things that mean nothing to God and make excuses for not doing the things that matter to God. Don't be that way.

You hear some say, “How can Sunday be church, and Monday be church again?” Or, “They said we should come on Friday for impartation; What do they want to impart again?” If you continue thinking like that, you will miss what God is doing. The Bible says, “We must not quit meeting together, as some are doing… This becomes more and more important as you see the Day getting closer” (Hebrews 10:25 ERV).

The coming of Jesus is getting closer. When exams are near, students spend more nights studying together. That's how we should behave spiritually now. The Bible says, “…now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”, (Romans 13:11 SBA).

Be warned. Value church meetings. Don't ever miss that conference or training program for anything. Respect God and the gatherings He has established. Attend cell meetings and the Bible study meetings. Participate in the online meetings as well. Plan trips or appointments on days that will not affect meetings. Make it very difficult for you to miss meetings. If you can miss meetings easily, it shows you don't count. People who truly matter don't miss service. Some are so important that their absence is noticed immediately. Others can be absent for months, and nobody notices—don't be like that. Make yourself valuable. Make yourself count. Don't miss church; and don't miss the rapture. Stay prepared!

Confession & Prayer

"Dear Father, thank You for teaching me the value of being consistent in fellowship. I refuse to be careless with my spiritual growth. I choose to attend every meeting faithfully and receive the strength, wisdom, and blessing You release in Your house. I will be steadfast, diligent, and passionate about Your presence, in Jesus’ name. Amen."
