Life is spiritual; it is not just physical. Your life is influenced by the spiritual realm. You can choose to live joyfully, or you can choose to ignore God—but either way, your life is under spiritual influence. The Bible says, “But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit…,” (Romans 8:9 NLT). Everyone is under influence. You are either under the control of demons or under the control of God. No one exists outside spiritual influence.
Here is the danger: if you are under the influence of demons, they manipulate your life, your circumstances, your finances, your relationships, and even your thoughts. The Bible warns us, “…we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”, (Ephesians 6:12).
But if you are under God's influence, He guides your life from within. God does not act from outside; He works through you. The Bible says, “for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” – (Philippians 2:13 NIV). Unlike demons, God requires your cooperation.
So what should you do? Fill your spirit with God's Word. Speak it, meditate on it, and obey it. The Bible says, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”(Joshua 1:8 NIV).
Many people don't realize this. Life cannot be fully understood without God's Word. The Bible says, “…they that seek the LORD understand all things”, (Proverbs 28:5) Life is spiritual—it is not determined only by what you see or feel.
Walk in the Spirit every day. Let God's Word guide your decisions, shape your actions, and influence your relationships. When you allow the Spirit to lead, your life will be full of joy, peace, and victory. You are controlled by God's Spirit—let Him guide your every step, and you will walk in unending victory.
