There are five major types of relationships in every man's life. The most important is your relationship with God, because it affects the outcome of your life. Then there is your relationship with yourself, with other people, with the world around you—and with Satan. Yes, you have a relationship with Satan.
This is the part many people don't like to hear, but it is the truth from God's Word. Satan is very wicked, and you deal with him almost every day. Jesus made it clear when He said: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...” (John 10:10). That is his nature. That is his agenda.
Beyond stealing, killing, and destroying, there is something even more dangerous—deception. Satan is very deceptive. In fact, deception is his major weapon. The Bible tells us plainly that “...there is no truth in him...” (John 8:44). Many fall, not because they are weak, but because they do not recognize the Devil.
Do not forget: you are living in this world, and the Bible calls Satan “...the god of this world...” (2 Corinthians 4:4). He runs the systems of this world, and can influence your office, house, road, and even conversations. It is not always obvious, but it is real.
Satan is not everywhere at the same time. Only God is omnipresent. Scripture shows that Satan moves, actively seeking opportunities to distract, deceive and destroy people. The Bible says, “...your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). God does not move—He is already everywhere.
The Bible does not joke about Satan. It calls him your enemy. He is alive, active, and intentional. In the book of Job, Satan appeared before God. If Satan could appear in Heaven, then you must understand that the issue is not whether or not Satan can show up—the real issue is where you stand in your relationship with him.
This is the message for today. God opens eyes so that people can see what is really happening. Many lives, businesses, and destinies suffer because Satan is operating unchecked, through deception. The problem is not that Satan exists—the problem is that many believers do not relate to him as a real enemy. They treat him like an idea, an imagination, or a symbol. But Satan is not an imagination; he is real.
You can resist a real enemy. That is why the Bible commands: “...Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). But you cannot resist what you refuse to recognize. It takes the Word of God to reveal him clearly.
Do not live casually in a spiritual world. Open your eyes through God's Word. Recognize Satan for who he is—your enemy—and stop allowing deception to run your life unnoticed. Strengthen your relationship with God daily, stay alert, and take your stand in truth. When you know the enemy and walk in the light of God's Word, you will no longer be a victim—but a perpetual victor! Glory to God!
