The Word of God is exactly what you need, and it is coming to you. So, when the Word reaches you, what should you do? Believe. It is important to understand that God does not have power outside His Word. The Apostle Paul emphasizes this truth when he says, "...I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" (Romans 1:16).
The Word of God is not just a message; it is God's power. It carries the power of God to save, heal, deliver, and prosper. But notice this carefully—it does not work for people just because they have a problem, are sick, or are poor. The Gospel works specifically for those who believe. In other words, the Word does not work for the needy - it doesn't work for people simply because they have a need - it works for those who receive it with faith.
There are two important truths here. First, the message of Jesus is God's power to save, heal, prosper, and deliver you in every area of your life. Second, if someone ignores the Word and spends all their time praying for help, healing, or miracles without embracing the Word, they have a long way to go. God's power comes through the Word—not through effort, pleading, or emotional appeals alone.
When you believe God's Word, you bring His power into your life. The Gospel, according to the Bible, "...is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes..." (Romans 1:16 NLT). Clearly, believing is the key. The Word of God is alive and active, and when you receive it with faith, it begins to work in your life. Today, we have Jesus living in us. How? Through believing. The Bible tells us "...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9). And when we believe God's Word, it releases His Spirit, His life, and His power into our hearts, minds, and bodies.
The moment you embrace the Word with faith, you tap into the limitless power of God. Remember, the Word is not just instructional—it is supernatural, transformative, and active. It has the ability to change situations, circumstances and lives. As the Bible says, "so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11). Truly, it is the solution to your problems, the healer of your sickness, the deliverer from every oppression, and the source of your breakthrough. Choose to believe the Word, beginning from today!
