God cannot help a man outside His Word. God does not give money. He does not give drugs. He does not give you weapons. The only thing God has, and the only thing He gives, is His Word. If you don't know the Word of God, you will be among the millions looking for God to help them. People cry to God every day. Is God wicked not to answer? Is He so far away that He cannot help? Why is there so much suffering? It is because many don't know the ways of God. The Bible says, "He made known his ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel" (Psalm 103:7).
The children of Israel knew the miracles of God. They knew His acts. But Moses knew the formula for the act. Moses knew the ways of God. Moses knew what was behind the miracles. The rest of the people only knew the miracles—the bread from Heaven, the Red Sea parting—but they did not understand how it happened. When the Red Sea opened, the people could say, "This is God". But how did God open it? Moses knew. There are ways of God, and that is what I am teaching you. Read carefully. If you cannot catch this message, it only means one thing: you may struggle for long. This message can be the end of your suffering if you grasp it. If you don't know this truth, you will walk on in darkness (Psalm 82:5).
The Bible says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6). The reason for suffering is not the economic situation in the country. It's not because of Satan. God said the suffering of His children is because of a lack of knowledge. Many Christians don't understand the value of God's Word, yet they keep looking for God. God cannot help anybody apart from His Word. The Word of God is what helps men. God is already in you if you are born again. Why hasn't God in you helped you? It is because you do not know the ways of God. God does not help people directly; it is the Word of God that helps people. If Jesus stood in front of you today, He wouldn't do anything for you—because what you need is already inside you.
The Word of God is God Himself. The Bible says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). God and His Word are one, and then the verse continues, "Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made" (John 1:3 NIV). All things were made by the Word of God.
This is why understanding and believing God's Word is the key to your breakthrough. Don't keep looking outside for help. Let the Word of God, which is already alive in you, guide, strengthen, and transform your life. Know it. Speak it. Live it.
