There is a life after this life. A day is coming when this world will end. The Bible clearly tells us that "...the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly" (2 Peter 3:5–7 ESV). Everything your eyes can see—the houses, the buildings, and the entire created universe—will one day be destroyed. God will melt this world with fire. This is not Hellfire; Hellfire is different. God will destroy this very world in which we are living.
Has He done it before? Yes, He has. In the past, God destroyed the world with water in the days of Noah, as the Scripture records, "whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:" (2 Peter 3:6).
All that was created will return to its original state, just as it was before Adam was made. The Bible says, "...the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up" (2 Peter 3:10).
Notice that the heavens mentioned here are plural. This is not referring to the heaven of God's throne. Scripture reveals three heavens: the heaven of God's throne, the heaven of the sun, moon, and stars, and the atmosphere around us. And they can be destroyed by Him. This present Earth is reserved for fire – that day is still in the future.
Without spiritual revelation, many live their lives unaware of these truths, only to face destruction. But the Word of God has been given to bring understanding and wisdom. If you know Jesus and you are spiritually trained, you will live victoriously. You will not live an ordinary life. You will reign as a champion. And beyond this life, you will spend eternity with Jesus. This is why spiritual training is so important. The Bible makes it clear that "…bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come" (1 Timothy 4:8). Spiritual training prepares you for this life and the life to come, because there is life after this Earth. This is why you must live every day conscious that life does not end here. There are only two destinations after this world—Heaven or Hell—as Scripture states, "…these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal" (Matthew 25:46). The decision of where you will spend eternity is the most important decision anyone will ever make. Jesus is not a religion; He is life itself—the only way to victory and eternal life. Your eternal destination is up to you.
Train yourself in godliness today. Build your life on the Word of God and walk in spiritual awareness. Live intentionally; do not leave your future to chance. Prepare your spirit, your decisions, and your life for the eternity that is to come.
