You have to realize something very important: knowing why you were created is more important than anything else. You were not created for business. You were not created to make money. You were not created for relationships. You were created for God's glory. God Himself said, "Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him" (Isaiah 43:7 NKJV).
Think about that. If you don't live your life for God's glory, you will always feel empty. You may have excitement for a while, but it will not last. True joy does not come from temporary things—it comes from fulfilling God's purpose for your life.
Happiness and joy are not the same. Happiness is short-lived and depends on what is happening around you. Joy is lasting. Joy comes from knowing you are living for God, fulfilling the purpose He designed you for. That is why you were born—for God's glory.
Look again at the scripture: "...I created him for My glory" (Isaiah 43:7 SBA). The word "for" shows purpose. Everything was made for a reason. A chair is for sitting. A pen is for writing. A car is for transportation. It only fulfills its intended function when it is used for its purpose. When you live your life for God's glory, you fulfill your purpose, and you will experience real joy.
The Bible tells us, "He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity" (Ecclesiastes 5:10). You see, money, success, or relationships cannot give true joy. Satisfaction only comes from fulfilling God's purpose. It's all for His glory.
Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). This is how you bring glory to God. Shine your light by doing what God has called you to do. Let men see you and glorify God in all that you do! Be an instrument of praise to God! Share the Gospel and win souls. Serve others in love. Help those in need. Encourage the discouraged. Live honestly and righteously in everything. Every good act, every life you touch, every prayer, every word of love—let it reflect God's glory. You were created for God's glory.
