Evangelism is service. If you are not winning souls, not inviting anybody to Christ, you are not serving God. Serving God is not just attending church. It is what you do for the Gospel. Jesus commanded us, "...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). This is not a suggestion. It is a command. Some of God's people will face regret because they did nothing. Service means you are the one working. When you go out for evangelism, that is service. When you sit in your room and pray for souls, pray for your pastor, or pray for a crusade, that is service. Service takes energy. It takes effort. As Christians, we are meant to serve and live for Christ. The Bible says, "...He died for them and was raised from the dead so that they would live for him" (2 Corinthians 5:15 NCV).

Jesus also warned, "And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes" (Luke 12:47). Soul winning is not optional; it is a responsibility for every servant of God. The Lord has given us power for this work, as it is written, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me..." (Acts 1:8). Winning souls is a direct way to participate in God's work on Earth. Every soul you lead to Christ becomes a living testimony of God's grace and mercy. The Scripture also says, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14–15).

Do not be a churchgoer only. Be a servant. Pray for souls. Speak to someone about Christ. Support the work of the Gospel. Step out in faith and obey the command of Jesus. When you serve God through soul winning, you are investing in eternity.
