The truth about a thing, a person, or a situation is what the Word of God says about that thing. Maybe in your health, it doesn't matter what the doctor's report says. Doctors can discover anything in your body—it makes no difference. You go to the doctor, and they find out you have a terminal disease or only two years to live. It makes no difference. What does the Word say? What your eyes can see is fact. What your hand can touch is fact. A doctor's report is fact. But reality is what God's Word says. What the Word of God says is truth, for Jesus said to the Father, "...thy word is truth" (John 17:17).
Truth is not what your eyes can see. Truth is not what you can feel in your body. Rather, what the Word of God says is truth—and truth has power over facts. This is what God brings you into. The moment a man is born again, he's brought into truth. You will be amazed at how victoriously you will live if you live in truth. What God's Word says is reality, not what you feel. Truth has power over fact. The Word says, "...by whose stripes ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24). That is truth. It's more real than a doctor's report. We don't look at the things that we see, because "...the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18).
But can you believe truth? How do we put truth to work? You believe truth and confess truth. You believe it and you say it. When you believe it and say it, it has power over fact. As the Bible says, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;" (2 Corinthians 4:13). So now, you need to decide which report you are going to live by. Don't let the facts of this world talk you out of what God has already done for you. Stand your ground, keep saying what the Word says, and watch every fact in your life change to match the Truth.
