SPEAK LIFE

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof - PROVERBS 18:21

There is a spiritual law that many people overlook: we don't die until we finish our assignment. As Jesus said, "I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do" (John 17:4). But you must understand that you keep yourself here on Earth with your tongue. Your tongue is the steering wheel of your life, and it has the power to either preserve you or cut short your time.

The Bible says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue..." (Proverbs 18:21). This is not a suggestion; it is a reality. Some people will die next year, not because it was God's time, but because they would be harvesting the death they spoke years ago. You are eating the fruit of your words today, and you will reap the fruit of what you are saying now in the years to come. Galatians 6:7 warns us, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap".

Don't use words that bring death. Don't joke about "dying" from laughter or stress. Words are seeds, and if you don't want the harvest, don't plant the seed. Instead, speak life all the time. Like the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:26, who said, "...It is well", even when her son was dead, you must speak life. Say now: "I am healed", "I am alive", "I am prosperous", "I am full of health".

This is not a joke; your future is in your tongue. James 3:4 reminds us that "...the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm…". Your tongue is that helm; it controls your destination. If you want a different future, you must start speaking a different language. Call forth the future you want to see, beginning from this moment!

Confession & Prayer

"Father, I thank You for the power of the tongue. I repent for every word of death I have spoken over my life. Today, I choose to speak life according to Deuteronomy 30:19. I declare that I am healthy, prosperous, and I shall fulfill my days. My future is bright because it is framed by Your Word in my mouth, in Jesus' name. Amen."
