Your life is not meant to be a product of chance, but a product of the words spoken over your destiny. Jesus only arrived to live out the prophecies written of Him. Isaiah said, "... a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son..." (Isaiah 7:14). Different kinds of prophecies went forth before He came. When He arrived, there was no way He could have lived another life because He said, "...I have come to do your will, my God" (Hebrews 10:7 NIV). If the life of Jesus was governed by prophecy, who is prophesying your own future now? You are supposed to be the prophet of your life. The gift of prophecy is the most important gift; God said to desire it, "...desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophesy" (1 Corinthians 14:1 NIV).
You need the gift of prophecy and there are two sides to this. Number one, as you pray in the Spirit, you get a word about your tomorrow—then speak it forth. Number two, you can declare things to reshape your life, future, and situations. Whether it is an infection or a condition, you can alter your life with the word of prophecy. This is the "forthtelling" side of prophecy: to declare words that have divine energy and potency. You speak a word, and it comes to pass. It's like when God said, "...Let there be light," and there was light" (Genesis 1:3 NIV). You have that same ability to change anything. I have found that when prayer and confession don't seem to work, it's because you need the word of prophecy. You speak in tongues to stir your spirit up until divine energy wells up in your spirit, then you turn to the situation and declare. There are times confession is not enough. You need to stir the anointing in your spirit. There are different levels of voltage. Your phone uses 5 volts, but your TV or fridge needs 220 volts. That's how it works spiritually. You increase the voltage by speaking in tongues to stir your spirit. The gift of prophecy holds the key to your future. The Bible says, "This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee..." (1 Timothy 1:18).
Prophecies pave your future. In the place of prayer, as you charge your spirit, a word will come: such as "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper..." (Isaiah 54:17). That word will not work for you simply because God said it. When released under the anointing, it becomes unstoppable. Prophecy aligns you with God's plan and ensures your life follows His perfect purpose. Since your destiny is not a product of luck but a result of the words you have paved path with, you must move beyond mere confession and step into the authority of prophecy to ensure that every day of your life aligns strictly with the blueprint of Heaven. Stir up the gift and begin to decree your future today!
