BE PATIENT IN FAITH

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises - HEBREWS 6:12

Faith never stands alone. Faith sits on patience. Faith is rooted in patience. The biggest problem and challenge of faith is impatience. If you don't have patience, you can't walk with God and you can't receive from God. People don't have a problem with believing; they have a problem with patience. The Bible says, "that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises" (Hebrews 6:12).

In every story about faith told in the Bible, patience stood out very strong. Consider Abraham—do you know what it means to believe for a child for twenty-five years? He was seventy-five when he received the word, and from that moment, he began believing. The Bible says Abraham "...against hope believed in hope..." (Romans 4:18). Abraham believed in hope; he was hoping when he should not be hoping.

Behind every faith is a demonstration of patience. As a matter of fact, it's the lack of patience that weakens faith. Be strong in patience. The Bible says, "You must be patient. After you have done what God wants, you will get what he promised you" (Hebrews 10:36 ERV).

The woman Jesus told us about in that parable, who was persistent, telling the judge to help her—it was a story of patience, the ability to wait. In the same verse Jesus told the story, He asked, "...when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8), because true faith remains strong through patience.

Faith sits on patience, and if you will stay with God patiently, your faith will produce results. Refuse impatience. Stay steady with the Word of God and continue believing, because through faith and patience you will inherit the promises. Stay strong, keep believing, and let patience carry your faith until the promise becomes your testimony. Choose today to remain patient in faith and refuse to give up until you see God's promise fulfilled in your life.

Confession & Prayer

"Dear Father, I thank You because Your promises are sure in my life. I receive grace to walk in faith and patience. I refuse impatience and discouragement, and I stand strong in faith until Your promises are fulfilled in my life. I declare that my faith is producing results, and I walk in victory every day, in Jesus' name. Amen."
