HAVE FAITH IN GOD

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - HEBREWS 11:1

Faith means knowing God beyond what He does. It means knowing His person. Faith is the conviction that God is a good God, whether or not He does me good. That is what faith truly is. You must have trust in His Word; whether or not you experience the manifestation in your lifetime, you do not change your confession. The Bible says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is believing in God even when circumstances say otherwise. I once got sick years ago and began confessing, "I am healed. By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed" (Isaiah 53:5). I told my neighbours and my family, "No, I don't need drugs; I will be fine. By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed". I was confessing the Word, yet the sickness continued until I became so weak I couldn't speak the words anymore. I finally landed in the hospital. If I eventually recovered from that condition, would I still say the Word is working?

Do you know that for many people, that is where their believing ends? They feel embarrassed and conclude, "This thing is not working". But what makes you think you know everything? There could be something about faith you are yet to discover. You should study more rather than conclude that the Word does not work. Faith is not when you praise God because He showed up for you. Faith means saying: "I confessed it and it did not seem to work, but God is still a Healer. Perhaps there is something I have not yet found out, because I know God's Word does not fail. If it didn't work, there is something I did not do well". The Scripture reminds us that "God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent…" (Numbers 23:19). Faith trusts God even when the results are delayed.

Have you ever read about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? They said, "We are not bowing to any god". They declared, "...our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace... and even if He doesn't, we still won't worship your gods" (Daniel 3:17-18 SBA). That is what is called faith. It is trusting God's character and His promises, not just the results you see.

Today, decide in your heart to trust God no matter what you see. Keep confessing His Word. Keep believing even if things don't happen right away. Don't give up or doubt. Stand firm and trust that God will always keep His promises.

Confession & Prayer

"Father, I thank You for teaching me the true meaning of faith. Help me to trust You beyond what I see or experience. Strengthen me to confess Your Word, stand firm in every situation, and trust Your promises fully. I refuse doubt, impatience, or fear, and I choose to believe that Your Word will never fail in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen."
