PRAYER BIRTHS REALITIES

...let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; - 1 CORINTHIANS 3:21

It is important you learn how to pray, because prayer is not a means of getting God to do something for you. All there is to be done for you, that God had to do, He already did. There's nothing today that God is hoping to do about your situation. Why do we pray? Prayer is a means to birth things. It is not a means to get God to act, because He is not working today; He already did all He could for you on the Cross. The Bible says, "All things are yours; let no man glory in men... the world is yours" (1 Corinthians 3:21-22 SBA). Everything belongs to you today.

And if everything belongs to you, then where are these things? They're in your spirit. Before God made the world-the Earth, the stars, the moon, and the sun-where were they? They were inside God. And you have to realize we were created in God's image (Genesis 1:27); we function like God.

Prayer is a means of bringing forth those things in our spirit. When you pray, you birth things. The Bible says, "...he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God... in the spirit he speaketh mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14:2). When you speak in tongues, you speak hidden things and secret truths. You speak the wisdom of God. You give birth to things.

Prayer doesn't make God do things; it positions us to receive what He has already done and what is already available. Through prayer, we give birth to our realities. We create our circumstances. We speak forth God's plans, God's wisdom for our future; we speak them forth into existence. This is why prayer is so vital; the less we pray, the less we walk in God's plan. If we pray less, we will walk in another destiny. Remember, Satan, society, and the world all have plans for you. Everything you will ever need in your life is right in your spirit. The Bible says, "according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…" (2 Peter 1:3). All that is necessary for life and godliness has been given to you. Your future is in your spirit. Everything you will ever need in your life-your prosperity, the materials, the favours, the relationships, the connections-everything is in your spirit.

But if you don't pray, they'll remain there, dormant. So much is in your spirit, but when you pray, you bring them forth. Through prayer, we bring forth the good things in our spirit. The Bible says, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things…" (Luke 6:45 SBA).

This is what I encourage you to do today: take time to pray in tongues, because life is spiritual. And if we are going to prevail, and advance in this life, we must control life from the realm of the spirit; otherwise, we would be victims in this world.

Confession & Prayer

"Father, I thank You for the gift of prayer. I receive the grace to birth the realities in my spirit. I pray in the Spirit and release the wisdom, plans, and favour You have placed in me. Let my life manifest all that is in my spirit, and let me walk in Your plan and purpose every day, in Jesus' name. Amen."
