Demons are real. Many people suffer under demonic affliction and may not even know it. But the truth is, casting out these devils is actually the easiest thing in the world, because Jesus has already defeated them. The Bible says, "...having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15). No matter the kind of devil troubling you-whether it's affecting your job, your finances, or your personal life-the power of God can set you free. The end of those troubles has come.

Jesus once cast a demon from a person who had two thousand demons. Typically, only one originally enters-the one that speaks through the person-and that main demon brings others. The more a person yields to evil spirits, the more influence those spirits gain, until the person becomes confused and cannot explain what is happening in their life. These people don't understand themselves; they feel lost and overwhelmed. To make the long story short, Jesus cast out the demon. Then, Jesus asked, "...What is your name?" ... "My name is Legion," he replied, "because we are many." ... The demons begged Jesus, "Send us into those pigs; allow us to go into them." So he gave them permission. Then the evil spirits came out of the man and went into the pigs... Then the herd of about two thousand pigs rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned" (Mark 5:9-13 SBA).

This teaches us that demons can inhabit animals. If it were impossible, they would not have asked Jesus to enter the swine. Both in the Old and New Testament, we see spiritual influence over animals. For example, in Genesis, Satan entered the serpent to speak to Eve, and in the New Testament, demons asked Jesus to enter the swine. Many people unknowingly host spiritual attacks in their homes, sometimes even through animals, and blame others for the unrest. The Bible says, "...we wrestle not against flesh and blood... against principalities... against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12). Satan is intelligent, strategic, and subtle. He rarely uses those we suspect. The person you point fingers at is often not the source.

To overcome, you must recognize that demons are real, and they have been defeated in Christ. So exercise your authority. As Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils..." (Mark 16:17). All demons are subject to Jesus, and through Him, you have power over every unclean spirit in your life. The Bible says, "...Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). The Devil doesn't stand a chance. So be conscious of this: demons are real. They can influence your life, decisions, and circumstances, but in Christ, you have authority over them. Walk in His victory, exercise your spiritual authority, and refuse to be controlled or intimidated by any evil force.
