The Holy Spirit prayed through the Apostle Paul for the church, and everyone should pray these same scriptural prayers for themselves. Most prayers are not called for because people do not know the Word of God. Paul prayed, "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:" (Ephesians 1:17).
This is the prayer we need. Do not pray like an orphan or say, "Oh God, help me". Those are useless prayers because prayer is not just saying something to God; prayer is saying God's Word to Him. Any kind of prayer you pray that is not in agreement with the Word of God, He does not hear. If God were hearing every prayer ever prayed, the world would not be the way it is now. The reason the world is this way is that most people who pray are only hearing themselves; their prayers never leave the room. The Bible says, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:" (1 John 5:14).
Take note of the phrase—in Him. It says if we ask according to His will, He hears us. It is like a language: the Word of God is God's language. If you talk to someone in a language they do not understand, they cannot respond to you, no matter how serious the matter is. When you do not pray His Word to Him, you are on your own.
The Word of God is the revealed will of God. This is why people who do not know the Word only complain. Crying about your suffering is not His Word. His Word says God "...hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" (Ephesians 2:6).
The idea that God answers with "yes," "no," or "wait" is not true. The Bible says, "...all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen..." (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV). The only answer God has to His Word is "yes". When you pray complaining prayers, He does not hear, but when you pray His Word, Heaven responds.
Instead of saying, "Oh God, I am suffering," say: "Father, I thank You because I have eternal life and I am Your child. Thank You for making my life beautiful". The Word declares, "They that observe lying vanities Forsake their own mercy" (Jonah 2:8). Refuse to look at the shadows. Declare, "...by whose stripes ye were [I am] healed" (1 Peter 2:24 SBA). Refuse to recognize symptoms. There is no cancer in your body because Jesus cannot have cancer.
When you pray that way, Heaven says "Amen" because you are speaking His Word. That is the password that unlocks divine answers. Learn the Word, put it inside your spirit, and speak it boldly. When your prayers align with God's Word, Heaven responds, and you walk in victory.
