In some people's lives, there is too much struggle. Too many people are fighting just to make it, but the Bible shows us another way to live. There is a path where struggle is not the order of the day, and that is the path God wants you to walk in.
David said, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life...". This means there is a defined road ordained by God where your experience is joy. The verse continues, "...In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" (Psalm 16:11). This is not temporary happiness. This is a life where joy is full and pleasures are lasting. This is the life God wants you to experience.
The life that comes from God is not filled with sorrow and endless struggle. It is a life of blessing without sorrow attached to it. The Bible says, "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it" (Proverbs 10:22). Suffering is not compulsory. The primary reason people go through so much is because they do not walk in line with God's plan. God says, "...I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV). This shows clearly that suffering is outside God's plan, not because life does not have challenges, but because there is a way to live above them.
Now, it is not everybody who wants to enjoy life. Some people do not believe in a good life or they think that without suffering, they are not really living. But it's those who want a good life, I am talking to. You cannot figure this life out by yourself; you must follow the path that God reveals. As a child of God, there is only one thing God primarily wants you to exert your energy towards. When you do that, you will have life and everything it offers free of charge (FOC). You can live where things come to you without struggle, pressure, or frustration. Such a life is possible in Jesus Christ.
This is the secret Jesus revealed: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). When you put your focus on the one thing God asks of you, every other thing begins to come to you freely. When you walk in the path God shows you-seeking Him first and aligning with His will-you experience the life Jesus promised: joy, peace, and goodness. Things fall in place. Doors open. Help comes. Life becomes sweet. Choose this path. Seek Him first.
