You are not doing God a favour by living for Him. To be born of God and to be bought by God are two different things. You belong to Jesus. You are more than somebody who just worships God; you are God's property. He owns you. He owns your time. He owns your life. The Bible says, "...ye are not your own... For ye are bought with a price..." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Do you know the privilege it would have been if you were told you belong to Elon Musk? Many people would be happy; they would think they would never have any problem in their lives anymore. That's just a man, yet some would even sell themselves to him for free because they know the benefit. You would not even think it's bondage because he is a great person.
There are children that look as though they don't belong to anybody—children moving aimlessly, begging. They are not owned by anyone. It's possible they have parents, but they are not under any control. While there are other children who were raised differently—very decent. There are children you will give something to, and no matter how hungry they are, they won't take it. They know at that little age that they are not the owners of themselves. They are under discipline. They are under a rule. Even those that collect a gift will take it to their parents to submit it.
Can you relate with God that way? Why do you jump everywhere? You live like nobody owns you. You are not under God's government. You jump into relationships anyhow; anyone can just enter your life. You don't consider God-what does God think? The Bible reminds us, "In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:6).
When you don't have an owner, you will live and die like someone without one. Before you accepted that job offer, did you ask God? Before you moved into that house, did you ask God? Now you are in the house, only to realize it is dedicated to idols. Now you are having troubling experiences and disturbing encounters. You are looking for deliverance, but He did not send you there.
The Psalmist says, "THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack" (Psalm 23:1 AMPC). If you are guided by God, there are many unnecessary prayer points you will not have to pray. Your safety and provision are tied to His ownership. When you stop acting as your own master and start submitting your moves, your relationships, and your decisions to Him, you step out of chaos and into His divine protection. Surrender your life to the Government of God today and let Him lead you into peace; you belong to the One who created and redeemed you.
