Date With Destiny Report

A Date with Destiny – Benin City with our dear man of God, Very Highly Esteemed Rev. Joseph Igwemoh, was a profound and spiritually enlightening gathering that left attendees with renewed clarity about purpose, calling, and eternal responsibility. The meeting centered on the critical theme of divine purpose and the believer's role in fulfilling God's agenda on earth. It was held from Friday, 30th to Saturday, 31st January 2026 at the University of Benin Indoor Sports Hall, Benin City, Nigeria. The meeting featured three dynamic sessions, each beginning with prayers, worship, and praise. Special segments included testimony sessions, reports on the impact of God's Message to You daily devotional, campus ministry updates, and ministrations from the music group and the Compellers dance team. These moments prepared hearts for the profound teachings of our dear man of God. A major emphasis of the meeting was that it is not enough to merely be in God's will; the ultimate goal is to serve God's purpose. Attendees were reminded that one may operate within God's will yet miss His intended plan. Understanding the “why” behind divine instructions brings blessings, fulfillment, and eternal impact, as seen in Romans 8:28, which assures that all things work together for those called according to His purpose. Reverend Igwemoh further explained that a man or woman of God is one who serves God's purpose, shifting focus from titles and positions to commitment and responsibility. He also taught that those chosen by God can never fail. Success is already guaranteed because God does not choose failures. This revelation encouraged attendees to embrace the assurance of divine selection and walk boldly in their God-given assignments. Another key insight was that the things of God operate by recognition. Believers were urged to recognize God's anointing, grace, love, and fruitfulness in their lives, understanding that recognition activates spiritual realities and divine favor. Powerful testimonies confirmed God's miraculous work during the meeting. Healings were reported, including opened deaf ears, corrected eye defects, restored health in cases of irregular menstrual flow, aligned dislocated bones, and deliverance from demonic oppression. These testimonies strengthened faith and stirred gratitude among attendees. In his closing charge, Reverend Igwemoh stressed that preaching is not a profession or an activity done for routine's sake, but a sacred responsibility. There is a hell to avoid and a heaven to gain. Life after this present existence is eternal, and believers are called to reconcile others to God and guide them toward eternal life. A Date with Destiny – Benin City was more than a conference; it was a divine encounter that awakened purpose, affirmed identity in Christ, and inspired renewed commitment to God's eternal plan. We are grateful to God for the impact and success of this meeting.
